Fetal movement and infant sleep

Has anyone out there noticed a connection between the way a newborn/infant slept in the first few months of his/her life with the kind of fetal movements you felt – strong and vigorous Vs. mild and gentle?

My baby's been kicking real hard (it even hurts at times) and i wonder if that is a sign of any form of irritable behaviour (read as "baby with sleep problems") when she is born…

No. If anything the opposite. My first one was gentle in the womb and a terrible sleeper. My second one was a huge kicker in the womb and he's a fantastic sleeper so I don't think you need worry about that until it happens. I wouldn't worry about what tomorrow may bring. Just enjoy today!
