My 3 1/2 month old daughter cannot nap for more than 30 minutes.  The problem is most of time she wants to sleep more.  I try to be very aware of her getting sleepy and putting her to nap before she is overtired.  Awake time is not more than 2 hours.  She usually falls asleep herself, however at the 30 mintue mark she awakens.  She is swaddled but that does not seem to stop her from being startled when she gets into the lighter part of sleep.  Sometimes I can rock her and put her back in the crib, but even if that works she startles herself again shortly after that.  I feel like my whole day is trying to get her to nap.  It makes going out or making any plans ( even a doctor's appt) very difficult.  Any advice is appreciated.
