Not sure if you will get this since you posted this a few months ago, but I had the same problem when my son was about 6 months old. Slept 12 hours straight at night, but wouldn't take a nap longer than 20 min during the day. I did a lot of research and found out that he could possibly be overtired. So the plan was to put him to bed 2 hours earlier for 5 nights (answering all night feedings because there is bound to be a couple). It worked! I never thought my son would go to bed that early, but he did with no problem. By day five his naps had extended to 2 to 3 hours (at that age, he needed those long naps). If your issue isn't resolved yet, this might be something to try.
