My son is 11 months old. Since 4 1/2 months old, he has been sleeping 12 hours straight. Since then he will wake up randomly thoughout the night crying, but for 5 minutes for less, and then falls back to sleep. This can range from one time to 3 or 4 times during the night. I assumed this was something he would outgrow over time, but he still does this. I am assuming he is waking up between sleep cycles. He no longer wants to be held or rocked before going to bed. We still have a small routine we do before bed time and naps, which includes a diaper change and putting on a sleep sack. He also will fall asleep to soft music that lasts for about 10 minutes. Will he eventually grow out of this and how can I help me to not wake up crying. I know that he will wake up at times, just as we do, but it breaks my heart when he crys at night. Any suggestions?
