night-weaning and switch from co-sleeping together. need advice.

Suggestions for how to go about with both these endeavors? My baby turns one on Karch 31st. I'm thinking of doing night-weaning for 1 week and then placing her in the crib the followring week if she has become night weaned in 1 week. Is it too fast to transition both so quickly. My doc told me to put her in the crib before 1 year old, if that's what I wanted to do and I've decided I do. She'll be around 1, so I guess that's still close enough. I would love any advice.

Hi there-

You can work on both night weaning and transitioning your baby to her crib at the same time if you wish. If you do want to work on one and then the other, I would give night weaning more time, about 2 weeks or even a little more, to really let her learn, and give her body time to get used to not eating and not feeling hungry at night.
