Hi, my son will be 12 months soon and for the past 5-6 weeks he has been waking up between 5:30-6:30 and doesn't go down for a nap till about 10:30. We begin his bed time routine at around 7:15-7:30 (bath, pj's, feeding) and he's asleep by 8-8:15. We were hoping that daylight savings time would help push his wake time an hour later but….nope.

Help! I'm so tired :(

Have you tried an earlier bedtime? He may sleep a little longer/better if bedtime is a little earlier. Try to move it up in 15 minute increments. If he is still waking early after his bedtime is about an hour earlier, you can work on shifting his schedule. Here is an article about that:

And an interesting article about "owls and larks."

Will he go down for a nap earlier if he wakes at 5:30? Try to have him nap after 4 or less hours awake. And try to make sure his room is daarkened in the morning if it is not already!

Best of luck!!!
