My little guy has always been a challenging sleeper. We were having some issues over the summer with really early wake ups (4:30/5:00am with a 6:30 bedtime), but then went on vacation, got some new teeth, and poof – they were gone and we were on a great schedule of 7:30-8:30 – 7:00 (sometimes later if bedtime was later) with 2 naps (about 1 hour at 10/10:30 and 1.5 hours in the PM somewhere between 2-3pm, ending anywhere from 3:30-4:30).
Then all of a sudden, a few weeks ago, things started changing. Our son started getting up in the 6:00 hour, and sleeping longer for the morning nap. I started waking him up after 1.5 hours in the morning so that our afternoon nap wouldn't be too late. I try to encourage him to sleep 2-3 hours in the day time (meaning that I limit naps to 1.5 hours), though we sometimes have problems with the afternoon nap and only get 1 sleep cycle in (30-45 min). Then, all of a sudden, he went to waking up at 5 a couple of times (sometimes going back to bed, sometimes not, and those days are reeeeally tough). I still try to stick to the regular nap times (though we're a little earlier on the 5ish days). For the last couple of weeks, he has occasionally woken up
