As I am typing this on my phone, my DD is having a grand ol' time in her crib ( not sure why she's happy this night-she usually is fussy- she is HYPER right now!!). It is 11 pm and i put her down at 8:30. I'm trying to start putting her down earlier–her nighttime sleep issues were not that bad until a few nights ago when she started waking at 4:30 am and wouldn't go back to sleep until I nursed her and laid her back in her crib. Last nigjt and right now, she slept for 30 minutes (like her naps), and woke up at 9:00 raring to go. And thus it is now 11 pm and she's bouncing and babbling. Our sleeping arrangements is where she is sharing a room with us but in her own crib. We are not able to give her a separate room right now.
These little episodes are driving me nuts! I just paid for a membership and was looking at a few of the ebook sections, but with all that is going on, I think I need a little more personable help. At least to nip this in the bud and get this under control so I can really work on her schedule.
Oh, and she just discovered how to grind her teeth which is worse than fingernails on a chalkboard or styrofoam rubbing together! Grrrr!!!!!
How do i keep her from thinking that bedtime is naptime and that when she wakes up after her first sleep cycle, it is time to go back to sleep rather than play?

Hi there-

I hope things have improved with your daughter's sleep!

Sounds like a case of the 10 month sleep regression.

Here is a link to an article:

You may want to look at her schedule too, is she getting too much sleep and is not tired? Or over tired?

Here is some sample schedules to compare average sleep amounts and times:

Good luck!!!
