I've been reading your stuff, so I know we need an earlier bedtime.  She's 6 and 1/2 months, still exclusively nursing.  We had a sleep hammock til 4 months, and in that, she was sleeping 8-10 hours consistently at 6 weeks, so I know she can.  now in the crib, we're getting up around midnight then around4 or 5 to nurse, then usually back to sleep til 7 or 8.  going to bed for the night around 8 or 9.  She only nurses every 3-4 hours during the day, so I'm hesitatnt to try to stop night feeding, since we aren't on any solids yet due to food allergy/skin concerns.  She often falls asleep nursing, though not as much lately.  Needing to do more walking and butt patting, neither of which usually takes but 10-15 minutes, so not awful, but I have an 8 year old and a 5 year old, and we homeschool, so I'd really rather not start being awake for the day at 4 AM!  I've let her call the shots on sleeping and eating, and am realizing we need a schedule for predictability and sanity, but don't know how to go about creating one.  help!  Thanks!
