Hi I am new to this site. My almost 8-month old son has just recently started sleeping in his crib at night. He had been sleeping in a swing since he was a month or so old due to acid reflux and needing to sleep somewhat upright. We have been trying the "Ferber" method for about 7 days now. My question is how do I handle his naps? Especially his last nap of the day, which is usually between 4 and 5 pm. Do I need to put him in his crib when he needs a nap, just like I would at night? He normally only naps for 20-30 minutes at the most. I'm afraid if I lay him down for a nap that he will cry for an hour, and by the time he finally goes to sleep and then wakes back up it will be close to his bed time.  I'm afraid that If I rock him to sleep for his nap, that it will mess him up as far as going to sleep on his own at night for bed time. He's at daycare during the day, so his last nap is really the only one that I handle during the week.
