I have a 15 week old. I have followed her schedule cues from the beginning. Recently, within the last two weeks, everything has gone haywire. She doesnt want to sleep at all during the day and night time has become a up and down marathon. Should I start her on a schedule? She now falls asleep whenever. It used to be like clock work. Up at 7:30 back down for small nap at 9 hen back to sleep for a two hr nap at 11 or 12. Now Im lucky to get her to sleep by 11 but then only sleeps 1/2hr. After that she will crash at 1:30-2 and want to sleep till 5. Its driving me nuts! Any suggestions??

Hi April,

Around this time, the sleep patterns for babies start to change. They start to sleep more like adults and go through more light and deep sleep.

It's not too eary to start her on a schedule and most babies thrive on schedule. The key is to find a schedule that works good for her. Continue to take your cues from her about when she needs to nap and when she needs to go to bed.

Here are two articles that I think you might find helpful. One is about the 4 month sleep regression that babies often go through and the other includes suggested schedules for a 4 month old. Hope they help!
