My 19 week old naps for around 4  hours/4 naps at daytime but only sleps for 10 hours at night…we put him down at 7 and he is up at 5..should we cut his naptime to less than 4 hours ???

We have tried CIO for his early wake-up but he can cry for a whole hour.

Hi again,

I answered you in your other post, and looked at his schedule. I think that he does need the 4 naps for now, but you can work on lenghtening the morning sleep, and this will hopefully cut out the morning nap.

Often babies are not consistent sleepers until between 5-7 months of age
when they have gained a better ability to learn how to self soothe, which is a
key skill to them learning how to go to sleep and stay asleep on their own.

So work on helping him go back to sleep in the early morning hours, and for your reference, here is a link to a sample schedule for 4 month olds…
