My 19 week old, goes to bed at 7.15, and he wakes up once in the middle of the night for a feed and then is up for the day at 5 am..he gets between 3.5-4 hoursof daytime sleep…
Wake-up 5am
Ist nap:7.30-8.10
2nd nap: 9.45-10.45
3rdd nap:12.30- 2.30
4th nap:4.40-5.20
Bedtime:7.15
Should I be cutting his naptime down to allow him to sleep longer at night??..if so which nap should I try dropping..I have to have his bedtime withing 2 hours of his last nap…so I have to have that last nap..and since he is a 45 min napper mostof the time I have to keep multiple naps, since he cannot stay awake for longer than 2 hours between naps
Wise Moms Pls HELP!!

BTW, I have tried feeding him at 5am..in the hope of him going back to sleep..but he keeps talking to himself after the feed till 5.30 and then wants to be up for the day…and If I let him CIO, he can cry for a full hour.

Hi-
I would recommend continuing to try to get him to go back to sleep after a 5am feed. Keep it dark and boring, and help him to get back to sleep if necessary. He may need a little more time to "get it," as he is still very young, but try to stick with your plan for one- two weeks before evaluating. He may surprose you and begin napping longer soon, and as he grows and his sleep changes, may sleep better in the morning too. I would keep his naps too, because overtired will not help his sleep.
Keep up the hard work!
